Karnataka High Court moved against Bengaluru township project
Bengaluru, June 30 -- The proposed Greater Bengaluru Integrated Township project near Bidadi has come under legal scrutiny, with a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) being filed in the Karnataka High Court challenging the acquisition of nearly 516 acres of fertile agricultural land for the mega urban development project.
The PIL has been filed by social activist, Rajesh Kamplapur Basavanna, from Mysuru district, seeking the cancellation of the final land acquisition notification issued by the State government on June 13, 2026. The petition is likely to be heard by the Bench headed by Chief Justice V Kameswar Rao Bhakru.
