Hyderabad third in e-bus race, pips Mumbai and Ahmedabad
Hyderabad, June 22 -- Hyderabad ranks third among Indian cities set to receive electric buses under the central government's PM E-DRIVE scheme, behind only Bengaluru and Delhi and ahead of larger metros such as Mumbai.
Bengaluru topped the allocations with 4,500 buses, followed by Delhi at 2,800. Hyderabad was sanctioned 2,200 buses, placing it ahead of Mumbai (1,500), Ahmedabad (1,200) and Pune (1,000) among the 10 cities covered under the scheme.
