Hyderabad, Nov. 6 -- A 22-year-old Madrasa teacher was arrested on Wednesday, November 4, for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy in Madannapet Police limits.

The incident occurred on November 3 and came to light on November 4, when the survivor informed his mother that the teacher touched him inappropriately after his classmates had left. The mother approached the Madannapet Police and filed a complaint.

Based on the complaint, the accused, Masi, was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

Speaking to Siasat.com, Madannapet Police said, " Masi watched a pornographic video before committing the offence. He has been arrested and will be taken to court today. "
