Hyderabad eatery owners booked after Rs 3K 'waiting charge' brawl
Hyderabad, Aug. 31 -- A Raksha Bandhan gathering at Bhattad Ki Idli in Narayanguda turned violent after the eatery billed a family an unexplained Rs 3,000 "waiting charge," leading to an assault in which a woman was allegedly dragged and her modesty outraged, and her brother left bleeding. An FIR has been registered against the owners and staff.
According to a complaint filed by Aashish Porwal, a 29-year-old resident of Himayathnagar, he had gone to the eatery inside Ratnadeep with his brother Rahul Porwal, sister Kirti Porwal, and 15-20 other family members between 10:30 am and 1 pm to celebrate Rakhi.
