Hyderabad, April 3 -- Medak MP M Raghunandan Rao on Thursday, April 3, requested the Centre to approve a second terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), citing growing passenger traffic.

Rao made this request during Zero Hour in Lok Sabha, stating that "as per official figures, 35 lakh passengers have used this airport in 2025-26 so far, and the total traffic is expected to reach its peak handling capacity soon."

It is to be noted that Hyderabad airport is witnessing growing traffic.
