Hyderabad, April 3 -- Large numbers of dead fish have been reported in Chelikunta Lake in Osman Nagar near Tellapur, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, on Thursday, April 2, with residents linking the incident to the continuous discharge of untreated sewage into the water body.
Speaking with Siasat.com, Tellapur Neighbourhood Association (TeNA) president Ramana Eshwaragari said fish carcasses were seen floating on the surface and along the edges of the lake on Thursday, accompanied by foul odour and visible deterioration in water quality.
