Mumbai, Nov. 5 -- Kareena Kapoor Khan remembers looking at Saif Ali Khan in the lift of their Bandra building and saying just three words to him. "Don't do this," she recalled telling her husband, who was bleeding after an intruder attacked him at their home. Saif had suffered several knife wounds, including deep cuts to his neck and left hand.

On the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 9, Kareena and Saif opened up to host Karan Johar about that January night. Their elder son Taimur, whom they call Tim, saw his father bleeding too. Kareena remembered his first question clearly. "Abba, are you going to die?"
