Madinah, Nov. 5 -- Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched towards the Madinah region, the Saudi-led Coalition's spokesperson Major General Turki Al-Malki announced on Thursday, November 5.

In a statement posted on X, Al-Malki said the Kingdom's air defence systems had successfully neutralised the incoming missile. He did not disclose its launch location or report any casualties or damage.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthi movement, with both sides issuing competing accounts of attacks involving Saudi territory.
