Hyderabad, April 2 -- The Hanuman Jayanti procession began from Ram Mandir in Hyderabad's Gowliguda around noon on Thursday, April 2.

Before the start of the procession, Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar attended the pooja ceremony at the Ram Mandir.

At 10 am, another procession began from Karmanghat. It will merge with the main procession near Andhra Bank.

Security for Hanuman Jayanti procession

In order to ensure security during the procession, around 3,000 police personnel have been deployed.

Along the 13-kilometre route of the main procession, several smaller rallies are expected to join.

The event will conclude in the evening with a public meeting at Tadbun in Secunderabad.
