Ex-Mangalore University's Waheeda Sultana dies from heart attack
Mangaluru, Aug. 6 -- Dr Waheeda Sultana, a former professor of mass communication and journalism at Mangalore University and an eminent media academic, died due to a cardiac arrest in Mysuru on Thursday, August 6. She was 70.
Dr Sultana, who lived in Kalyanagiri, Mysuru, breathed her last at a private hospital after suffering a heart attack, family sources said. Her funeral will be held in Mysuru on Friday, August 7.
During her long academic career, she spent nearly 30 years teaching at Mangalore University and eventually retired as Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism.
