Hyderabad, Sept. 20 -- After publicly stating that he is ready to face by-elections, former Khairtabad MLA Danam Nagender has reportedly moved the Supreme Court challenging the Telangana High Court's order on his disqualification.

According to a Times of India report, his petition has not been listed before any Supreme Court bench. However, his counsel is expected to mention the matter for urgent hearing, citing that the HC order effectively renders the Assembly seat vacant.

Both Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have filed caveat petitions in the Supreme Court, urging it to not entertain any challenge to the High Court verdict without hearing them.
