Hyderabad, Oct. 27 -- The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has asked the Election Commission of India (ECI) to extend the deadline for graduate voter registration in Telangana.

To support its claim for the extension, it cited delays in document verification and a lack of public awareness.

Current deadline

The current deadline for submitting applications is November 6.

The party has requested that it be extended to December 6 to give eligible graduates more time to register in the Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduate MLC constituencies.
