Huzurabad, April 3 -- A bandh was observed in Huzurabad on Friday, April 3, in protest against the proposed dumping yard in the constituency. The shutdown, led by MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy and the Joint Action Committee (JAC), saw participation from traders, business establishments, and various sections of the public.

Essential services such as hospitals and medical shops remained open.

A bike rally was also organised during the bandh. Addressing participants, the MLA expressed concerns that the proposed facility could impact public health and agricultural activity in the region, which is known for seed production.
