Bengaluru, June 22 -- In a striking example of Bengaluru's ongoing crackdown on traffic violations, a two-wheeler rider cleared as many as 100 pending traffic violation cases registered against a single motorcycle by paying a lump-sum fine at the Rajajinagar Traffic Police Station.

The rider took advantage of the Karnataka government's special traffic fine settlement scheme, under which violators are being offered a 50 per cent discount on pending fines. As a result, he paid Rs 27,500 to settle all 100 cases registered against his vehicle.
