West Bengal, June 22 -- A Christian Sunday prayer meet was disturbed and attacked by members of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on June 21 in West Bengal.

The Hindutva members stormed into the prayer meet at Raniganj of Paschim Bardhaman district and alleged that Hindu women were being coerced into converting to Christianity.

Footage shows they grabbed the Bible, attacked the worshippers and chanted religious slogans. "With the help of this Bible, they are luring Hindu women and converting them," said one attacker.

"The Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal will ensure that such things don't happen," he added.
