Hyderabad, Aug. 22 -- A newborn died at the Kamareddy district government hospital on Saturday, August 22, following which angry family members and relatives staged a protest alleging medical negligence.

Swaroopa from Ekkapally Tanda in Kamareddy district was admitted to the hospital on Friday, August 21, for delivery. According to local reports, doctors initially examined her and said a normal delivery was possible and declined to perform a caesarean section. They had asked the family to wait until her labour pains began.

Normal delivery did not progress and doctors performed a caesarean section the following day. Tragically, the baby had died in the womb.
