Hyderabad, Aug. 22 -- A 25-year-old software engineer was killed, and two others were injured in an accident in Hyderabad's Gachibowli on Saturday, August 22.

Abbas Siddique, a native of West Bengal, was riding his bike with his friends Sahasra Chattopadhyay and Abhijit Singh.

Chattopadhyay was driving while Siddique and Singh were riding pillion.

When their bike neared the Engineering Staff College of India in Khajaguda, it lost control and crashed, leading to Siddique's death. Chattopadhyay and Singh are currently under medical care at a private hospital.

A case has been registered under Section 106(1) (death due to rash and negligent driving). Siddique's body was shifted to the mortuary at the Osmania General Hospital.
