ACB nabs Yadadri district revenue inspector for Rs 14,000 bribe
Hyderabad, Aug. 24 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday, August 24, caught a Revenue Inspector of Alair mandal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district and a Grama Palana Officer while accepting a bribe of Rs 14,000 from a complainant for extending an official favour.
According to ACB officials, Revenue Inspector Vemuganti Purnachander Rao had allegedly demanded the bribe for issuing a report to the Tahsildar to facilitate the registration of land sold by the complainant's sister.
The amount was allegedly received on his behalf by Shaik Ahmed, Grama Palana Officer of Kolanupaka village.
