Doha, June 23 -- Twelve Indians were among the 13 people killed in an explosion at a gas facility in Qatar's Ras Laffan Industrial City, the Indian Embassy in Doha said on Monday, June 22.

In a statement posted on X, the embassy said Qatari authorities had confirmed the deaths of 12 Indian nationals and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.

The mission also said all those injured in the incident were in stable condition and receiving appropriate medical treatment.

It added that embassy officials were working closely with Qatari authorities to provide assistance to affected Indian nationals and their families. Efforts were also under way to facilitate the repatriation of the mortal remains of those killed.
