Zelensky Sacks Army Chief After Days Of Protests
India, July 22 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fired his army chief, Oleksandr Syrsky, on Tuesday. The decision followed days of loud protests in the capital city of Kyiv. People wanted Syrsky to leave because they didn't like his old ways of running the army. Zelensky appointed Mykhailo Drapaty as the new military leader.
The Clash Over Military Reform
The political turmoil started last week. Zelensky removed a popular defense minister named Mykhailo Fedorov. Fedorov is thirty-five years old and loves modern technology.
