India, Aug. 31 -- The government has notified the Semicon 2.0 scheme with an outlay of Rs 1.27 lakh crore to strengthen India's semiconductor ecosystem. The initiative provides fiscal support across chip design, fabrication, equipment manufacturing, assembly, packaging and testing, while a high-level panel will identify strategically important chips for incentives.
