India, July 31 -- The Union Cabinet has approved the Rs5,070 crore PM Surya Sarovar Yojana to develop 5,000 MW of floating solar power projects with integrated energy storage systems. The scheme aims to boost renewable energy capacity, reduce carbon emissions, strengthen grid reliability, and support India's clean energy and Viksit Bharat goals.
