India, June 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release over Rs 18,880 crore under the 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme to more than 9.44 crore farmers across India at an event in Tarakeswar, West Bengal. The latest disbursement will take the total benefit transferred under the flagship farmer welfare scheme to over Rs 4.46 lakh crore since its launch in 2019.
