India, April 14 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Delhi Dehradun Economic Corridor today, marking a major boost to connectivity and infrastructure in North India.
Ahead of the inauguration, he will visit Saharanpur to review a wildlife corridor, highlighting the project's focus on ecological sustainability. He will then offer prayers at the Jai Maa Daat Kali Temple before heading to the main event in Dehradun.
The 213-km-long, six-lane access-controlled corridor, built at a cost of over 12,000 crore, connects Delhi with Dehradun, passing through Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Once operational, it will cut travel time dramatically-from over six hours to about 2.5 hours.
