India, Oct. 5 -- Oman emerged as India's largest LNG supplier in September, overtaking the United States as India continued diversifying its energy imports amid geopolitical disruptions in West Asia. According to Kpler data, India imported 585,000 tonnes of LNG from Oman, an 11.6% increase from August, giving Oman a 27% share of India's total LNG imports.

Nigeria ranked second with 351,000 tonnes, although its shipments declined 35% from the previous month. The United States slipped to third position after its exports to India dropped 59% from 848,000 tonnes in August, accounting for 16% of September imports. The UAE supplied 311,000 tonnes, while Angola shipped 205,000 tonnes.
