Kathmandu, Sept. 8 -- Sept 08: Youths in Nepal, identified as Gen Z, protested in Kathmandu against alleged government corruption and the ban on social media platforms. The protests, organized by 'Hami Nepal', escalated in the Maitighar area, leading to the deployment of the Nepali Army and the imposition of a curfew in parts of Baneshwor after protesters entered restricted areas and Parliament premises. Security forces used tear gas, water cannons, and rubber bullets to disperse demonstrators.
