Nepal, India Discuss Trade, Energy and Post-Flood Recovery
India, Sept. 18 -- Nepal and India have discussed ways to strengthen their economic partnership, with post-flood reconstruction, trade, investment, energy and connectivity emerging as key areas of cooperation. The discussions took place during a bilateral meeting between Nepal's Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and India's Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on September 17, 2026.
The meeting covered a broad range of development cooperation issues and came as Nepal assesses the economic impact of recent flooding and begins planning reconstruction and rehabilitation.
