India, Sept. 29 -- The National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) organised a stakeholder consultation on Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and emergency preparedness at Lonavala and Bhushi Dams in Maharashtra on September 27, 2026. The consultation was held under the Seva Sankalp initiative, which aims to strengthen dam safety while enhancing public safety and resilience.

The meeting was chaired by Saurabh Agrawal, Member (Administration & Finance), NDSA, and attended by senior officials from the authority, its Western Regional Office in Pune and experts from the Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS), Pune. Representatives of Tata Power, which owns Lonavala Dam, and Central Railway, which owns Bhushi Dam, also participated.
