India, April 28 -- Narendra Modi arrived in Varanasi for a two-day visit, where he is set to launch a major development push and participate in a large women-centric outreach programme.

The Prime Minister received a grand welcome at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

A key highlight of the visit is the 'Jan-Aakrosh Mahila Sammelan' at BLW Ground, expected to witness participation from thousands of women. The event is being entirely managed by women-from anchoring to security-underscoring a strong emphasis on women-led leadership and empowerment.

Earlier, the Prime Minister offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Dham, accompanied by senior leaders.
