India, Sept. 19 -- Indian Railways has approved two infrastructure projects involving a combined investment of more than Rs275 crore to strengthen electric traction capacity and improve road-rail connectivity. The projects include an electric traction system upgrade on the Savalyapuram-Guntur section of South Coast Railway and construction of a four-lane Road Over Bridge (ROB) on the Udhna-Ukai Songadh section of Western Railway.

The Savalyapuram-Guntur electric traction upgrade has been approved at a cost of Rs142 crore. The project covers the 73 Route Kilometre section and involves work across 146 Track Kilometres.
