Indian Missions Abroad Launch Swachhata Hi Seva 2026
India, Sept. 18 -- Indian Embassies and Consulates across the world have launched Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, extending the cleanliness campaign to India's diplomatic missions overseas. Heads of mission administered the Swachhata Pledge to officials and staff and led cleanliness activities at their respective premises. The campaign began on September 17 and is scheduled to run until October 2, 2026.
In Baku, Azerbaijan, Ambassador Abhay Kumar administered the pledge to Embassy officials, planted a sapling under the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative and led the Embassy team in a cleanliness drive. In Reykjavik, Ambassador R. Ravindra launched the campaign at the Embassy of India and led officials in Shramdaan, or voluntary cleanliness work.
