India, July 21 -- India's installed renewable energy capacity has grown nearly fourfold to 288.58 GW as of June 30, 2026, from 76.38 GW in 2014, according to the government. Solar energy remains the largest contributor with 162.15 GW, followed by wind (57.44 GW) and hydropower (57.24 GW).
