India, July 15 -- India's electronics manufacturing sector has witnessed seven-fold growth in production and generated nearly 25 lakh jobs over the past decade, according to the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY). Driven by the Make in India and PLI schemes, the sector has emerged as a key engine of exports, employment and industrial growth.

Key Highlights India's electronics production has grown from Rs 1.90 lakh crore to Rs 13.11 lakh crore in a decade. The sector has generated nearly 25 lakh direct and indirect jobs, including over 12 lakh in mobile manufacturing.
