India, Oct. 2 -- The Government of India, in consultation with the Union Territory of Ladakh, has identified 28 places and geographical features by standard names on the official Survey of India map. The move is aimed at ensuring accurate recognition and improving public awareness of locations across Ladakh.

Key Highlights 28 places and features in Ladakh have been formally identified on the Survey of India map. The list includes peaks, mountains, passes, glaciers, valleys, rivers, lakes and land areas. The exercise was undertaken in consultation with the UT of Ladakh. The updated Ladakh map is available through the Survey of India website.
