India-France Power Cooperation Advances Nuclear, Storage Plans
India, Sept. 30 -- India and France have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening power sector cooperation, with a high-level meeting in New Delhi focusing on nuclear energy and energy storage. Secretary, Ministry of Power, Shri Pankaj Agarwal, met Bernard Fontana, Chairman and CEO of EDF, to review ongoing engagement on the proposed deployment of EPR reactors in India.
The meeting brought together officials from the Ministry of Power, Ministry of External Affairs, Central Electricity Authority, NTPC and NPCIL on the Indian side, along with representatives of EDF and the Embassy of France in India.
