India Backs ASEAN Energy Plan, Explores 2,000 MW Power Link
India, Oct. 9 -- India has welcomed the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation 2026-2030 and reaffirmed its commitment to regional energy collaboration under the ASEAN-India Plan of Action for the same period. Addressing the 20th East Asia Summit Energy Ministers' Meeting in Manila, Minister of State for Power Shripad Yesso Naik highlighted cooperation in the ASEAN Power Grid, cross-border electricity transmission, multilateral power trade, clean energy and energy security. India also reiterated support for operationalising the enhanced memorandum of understanding on the ASEAN Power Grid.
