India, July 30 -- With the July 31, 2026 deadline approaching, the Income Tax Department has urged eligible taxpayers to file their Income Tax Returns (ITR-1 and ITR-2) for Assessment Year (AY) 2026-27 without delay. The department has advised taxpayers to reconcile Form 16, AIS, Form 26AS, bank statements and other income records before filing to ensure accurate reporting and avoid last-minute issues.
