Home Ministry, RBI Sign MoU for AI-Based Detection of Mule Accounts
India, May 13 -- The Ministry of Home Affairs' Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH) to strengthen India's fight against cyber-enabled financial frauds.
The partnership aims to curb rising cyber frauds and detect "mule accounts" across the banking and digital payments ecosystem using artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics.
According to officials, the collaboration will focus on intelligence sharing, fraud-risk analysis, and coordinated operational support to build proactive fraud detection systems.
