Govt to Roll Out Faceless Trade System for Exporters, Importers
India, Sept. 15 -- The Commerce Ministry is moving ahead with a new faceless trade facilitation system to simplify the processing of applications for exporters and importers. The initiative is being implemented through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), which is establishing a Central Processing Department (CPD) at its central licensing area in Delhi.
According to a DGFT office memorandum, the CPD will function as a central unit for processing trade-related applications. The proposed system is designed to make trade-related services more efficient by removing jurisdiction-based processing and reducing dependence on physical paperwork.
