India, Sept. 9 -- The Ministry of Cooperation has restored the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal to accelerate the verification and settlement of claims filed by genuine depositors of Sahara Group cooperative societies. The restoration resumes processing of approximately 20 lakh pending applications through a secure, transparent and fully digital mechanism designed to ensure that eligible depositors receive their verified refund amounts directly into their Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts.

According to the ministry, a total of Rs9,267 crore has been refunded to 41,56,711 depositors so far. The processing of claims was affected after the functioning of the Sahara cooperative societies faced disruptions in November 2025. The societies encountered ope...
