India, Nov. 5 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for conducting the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of electoral rolls to facilitate the enrolment of left-out and first-time eligible voters. The exercise aims to ensure that eligible citizens are included in the electoral database ahead of future elections. According to the Election Commission, the integrated draft electoral rolls will be published by November 30, 2026, while the final publication has been scheduled for January 21, 2027. The revision will provide eligible voters with an opportunity to register and existing electors to seek corrections in their details.
