India, July 10 -- The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clarified that E20 petrol may reduce fuel mileage by 3-5% in some vehicles but delivers higher octane, cleaner combustion, lower emissions and improved engine performance. The ministry said extensive industry consultations ensured vehicle compatibility before the nationwide rollout.
