India, Sept. 21 -- Coal India Limited is expanding its business portfolio beyond conventional coal mining, with initiatives spanning coal gasification, thermal power, renewable energy, battery storage, critical minerals and advanced materials. The company's diversification strategy is organised around five platforms: coal gasification and coal-to-chemicals, thermal power, renewable energy and storage, critical minerals and advanced materials, and diversified minerals.
