India, Sept. 15 -- The Central government has announced Special Campaign 6.0, which will be conducted from October 2 to 31, 2026, with a specific emphasis on effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste. The initiative seeks to strengthen cleanliness, responsible waste management and environmental sustainability across government offices, public sector undertakings and field establishments.

The campaign builds on the outcomes of Special Campaign 5.0, conducted from October 2, 2025, to August 31, 2026. According to the Ministry of Coal, the previous campaign resulted in the cleaning of more than 1.13 crore square feet of space and disposal of over 14,017 metric tonnes of scrap, generating revenue of Rs 56.85 crore.
