India, Oct. 16 -- The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has intensified its outreach to taxpayers, with Chairman Vivek Chaturvedi and Member (GST) Sanjay Mangal interacting with trade and industry representatives to explain next-generation Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms. The meeting, held on Thursday, brought together around 250 stakeholders representing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), large manufacturers, service providers, traders, exporters, startups, e-commerce operators and industry associations. According to CBIC, the interaction focused on simplifying compliance, reducing procedural burdens and strengthening trust-based tax administration.
