India, Oct. 1 -- Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil led a large-scale Shramdaan activity at Kalindi Kunj Ghat near Okhla Barrage in New Delhi on October 1, 2026, as part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 - Nirantar Prayas campaign. Minister of State for Jal Shakti Shri V. Somanna also participated in the initiative, which began at 7:30 AM and focused on cleanliness, community participation and river conservation.

Addressing participants, Shri C. R. Patil highlighted the importance of Swachhata as a collective responsibility and recalled Mahatma Gandhi's emphasis on cleanliness alongside independence.
