India, May 26 -- Odisha will host the BRICS Technical Meeting of the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Working Group in Puri from June 3 to 5, 2026, under India's BRICS Presidency, highlighting the state's growing global recognition in disaster preparedness and resilience management.

The three-day technical meeting will be held at the Taj Puri Resort and will bring together representatives, policymakers and disaster management experts from BRICS member nations and partner countries.
