India, May 3 -- In a tragic incident, two 10-year-old girls lost their lives after drowning while bathing together in a village under Khantapada police limits in Odisha's Balasore district.

The incident occurred in Saanta village, where the two friends-Annapurna, daughter of Sanjay Mallick, and Anyashree, daughter of Sujit Mallick from nearby Bhuinpada village-had gone to bathe together in a pond.

According to reports, the girls accidentally slipped into deep water and drowned.
