India, July 22 -- The Malkangiri Airport in Odisha achieved a major milestone on Wednesday with the successful completion of its trial run, bringing the long-awaited launch of commercial flight operations a step closer.Odisha Travel Guide

A nine-seater aircraft operated by IndiaOne Air landed safely at the airport as part of the trial exercise. Following the landing, the aircraft was welcomed with a ceremonial water cannon salute by the administration. Senior officials from the district administration, airport authorities, security agencies and IndiaOne Air were present during the trial.
