Teacher on census duty dies after being hit by ambulance in Odisha's Malkangiri
India, Sept. 4 -- A teacher died after his scooter was allegedly hit by an ambulance near Kiang under Mathili police station limits in Odisha's Malkangiri district.
The deceased was identified as Hanuram Nayak. According to reports, Nayak had left his home at Nuaguda village under Salimi panchayat on his scooter and was travelling to his workplace at Bijapadar to carry out census survey work and perform his duties as a Booth Level Officer (BLO).
The accident occurred when an ambulance coming from the opposite direction allegedly collided with his scooter near Kiang. The impact threw Nayak off his scooter, leaving him critically injured.
